EDMONTON DAILY PHOTO

Edmonton is one of the largest northern urban centers in the world. Located in Canada, Edmonton is the capital city of Alberta. The city has a strong history as a trade center, and it served as the last major stop for the Klondikers during the Gold Rush. This is why we Edmontonions call our city "The Gateway to the North"

Please enjoy my perspective of one of of the fastest growing urban areas this side of China.

Batman, The Dark Night. Opening Scene Loction.

The opening parkade scenes of the new Batman film were shot in Edmonton. This is the parkade of my office tower and it's also the place where batman jumps 4 storeys onto an escaping car.
Anyone who knows me knows I hate heights. To get this I had to lean over a 12 storey opening and thusly after the shot I was sick and dizzy for a good hour.
Enjoy!

I didn't know Edmonton in fact was Gotham City. Really cool picture! I'll have a look at this building in the movie for sure.

There were onlt a handful of scenes shot here... Most of the shots were done in Chicago, and a few cityscapes taken of NYC.

Theopening and some internal Jail scenes were done here though.

I assure scenes were shot in Edmonton.. I had to live throught the week of Ledger sightings and screeming girls.

It was only a few scenes

I was wondering the same thing since I checked IMDb too. IMDb invites submissions to correct any omissions. Even if it was only a few scenes, it's still worth submitting if you know the details.
