The People's Pedal is Edmonton's bike share program. For a small membership fee you get access to bikes all over Edmonton. You just book via the Internet, take your bike and return it when your done.
It's a great idea.. and I believe you don't have to return the bikes to the same local, but I could be wrong there.

That is a great idea. i have not heard of it happening anywhere else.
