EDMONTON DAILY PHOTO

Edmonton is one of the largest northern urban centers in the world. Located in Canada, Edmonton is the capital city of Alberta. The city has a strong history as a trade center, and it served as the last major stop for the Klondikers during the Gold Rush. This is why we Edmontonions call our city "The Gateway to the North"

Please enjoy my perspective of one of of the fastest growing urban areas this side of China.

The Scream

What makes a piece of art popular or timeless. "The Scream" is a very recognizable work. Why is that?

For me I could always relate to the way the subject stood alone in a drab and dreary world.. I could relate to the frustration.

Don't get me wrong I am a pretty happy go lucky guy, but we all have periods in our life that test us.

I also think it looks like a jumbo size bozo the clown punching bag!

LOL! If you can't have the real painting… ;)

You're right about "The Scream" being easily recognizable. It's quite popular too—it shows up in the oddest places. Remember the movie "Home Alone?"

Very odd, but I like it. What next, a blow up Mona Lisa? We could have fun with some Ruebens!

Actually, I'm pretty sure that you can already buy them on the 'net somewhere... :)

I was staring quite a while at this picture trying to reat that face and the hands that are covering the ears(?). The emotion you describe in the text is very evocative.

Warm greetings from Bandung Daily Photo.
