The title is a classic rock referance.
The city sits on the banks of the North Saskatchewan river. The banks are about 130-150 feet tall in the Downtown area. Multiple sets of these stairs allow access to the park below. Normally you see someone working out, or pushing a bike up the side tracks, but today was a slow day.
Plans to build a funicular are in the works

Seems like that ramp would be easier than stairs!
This is just the sort of thing I need to get me in shape.
These stairs would kill me quicker than a heart attack. Wow. Your photograph captured that and made it crystal clear. Nice shot.
